PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP KELUARGA DALAM PENGGUNAAN OBAT

Abstract: This study is based on the public that often do not comply in taking medication and error in the use of drugs bought freely, namely using drugs irrationally. Meanwhile the public knowledge about drug use is still less and people do not have enough knowledge about the drug properly. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of health education about drug use towards knowledge and attitude of family in the village of Jati Hurip Work Area of Situ Health Center in Sumedang District. g
This  research was a quantitative study  using a quasi-experimental methods and its  instruments were questionnaires. It involved 75 heads of families in the village of Jati Hurip by stratified proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected by using univariate and bivariate analysis.
Result of knowledge before health education of lecture and discussion was 93.33%, knowledge after it became 100.00%. Those were 42 people (56,00%) had unfavourable attitude before health education of lecture and discussion, and 33 people (44.00%) had favorable attitude. After health education of lecture and discussion, 38 people (50.67%) had favourable attitude and 37 people (49.33%) were unfavourable.  Knowledge before health education of Focus Group Discussions (FGD) was 58.67%, and knowledge after it was 94.67%. Those were 49 people (65,33%) had unfavourable attitude before FGD  and 26 people (34.67%) were favourable. After FGD, there were 47 people (62.67%) had unfavourable attitude and 28 people (37.33%) were favorable. It was an effect of health education towards knowledge before and after health education of lecture and discussion with p-value of 0.000 <α (0.05). Knowledge before and after health education of FGD, with p-value of 0.000 <α (0.05), had the effect of health education on it. P-value of 0.000 <α (0.05), there was an effect of health education towards attitude before and after lecture and discussion, and it was an effect of health education towards attitude before and after health education of FGD with p-value of 0.001 <α (0.05). P-value (0.000) <α (0.05) was a difference in  knowledge before  health education of  lecture, discussion and FGD. P-value (0.000) <α (0.05) was a difference in  knowledge after health education of  lecture, discussion and FGD. There was no difference in attitude before health education of lectures, discussion, and FGD with p-value (0.786)> α (0.05), and there was was no difference in attitude after that with p-value (0.087)> α (0.05).
 It was a significant effect and comparison towards knowledge and attitude of families before and after health education of lectures, discussion, and FGD. Therefore, it should be a cooperation with the Institute of Health Education, Health Center and Health Department.
